Lorna embraced DJ’ing as a student whilst at University in Nottingham, an avid lover of Soul, Funk, Jazz, Disco and House music from an early age. Lorna has won the coveted Best Female Presenter at the Student Radio Awards for her Groove Academy show on URN (University Radio Nottingham.)

Upon graduation, Lorna moved to London and joined Solar Radio and becoming one of the few regular female presenters at the station.

Lorna has also worked for a regional radio station as well as plying her trade DJ’ing in several bars and clubs across London; by her own admission, “having spent way too much money on vinyl!”

Lorna wishes she had been born 10 years earlier, allowing her to personally experience the Paradise Garage in its heyday first-hand, as this is the sound, she loves and always makes her move.

She is excited to bring her soulful grooves to Groove Genie Radio.
